Pretty Girl – ADOPTED!

Pretty Girl has been with us since May 24, 2020. She was a pretty sick girl when she came here, with 3 kittens (around 5 weeks old) in tow. Initially thought to be a feral cat, she turned out to be a stray and warmed up to human interaction quickly. She was most likely dumped or escaped her former home and had no idea how to survive on her own. She did her best to give her babies what they needed and was skin, bones and a belly full of worms. She was just a scared, starving momma trying to keep her babies alive and they were doing well, especially compared to her. Often, she sprawled out on the floor of her kennel, listless and still, and there were several times that I watched for her belly to rise and fall to know she was still breathing. She’d stopped bathing herself but had never stopped feeding the kittens.

She eventually got her vaccinations, ditched the worms, her kids and her kitten machine and got to start acting like a cat! Those are the moments we strive for!

Despite a human letting her down somewhere along the line, she gained back her trust of people little by little. She’s still timid though and whomever adopts her will have to give her time and patience. She’s very sweet and would be a nice house/lap cat. She deserves a good, loving place of her own. She loves to be pet and her uniquely huge paws never seem to stop kneading. She’s playful too, being somewhere between 1 and 2 years old. She CAN get a little nibbley if you pet her for a long time, but she’s just over-stimulated and needs to be redirected to her toys. She can be around other cats, and quiet dogs may be okay, though we’ve never exposed her to one. Kids aren’t a deal breaker, but extra patience and time would be required to acclimate them to each other. We can help with proper introductions to give the best possible chance at a seamless family addition.
Her adoption fee is $30
