Bo – ADOPTED!

Bo is what I would imagine a teddy bear would be like if it came to life. He’s quiet and soft, with a sleepy (kind of grumpy?) look on his face, and always willing to send and receive love. His gold eyes really add to his soft features. He’s got an adorable, shorter than average tail and some big feet, so he may end up a big boy. He sounds a little like Darth Vader when he breathes sometimes, making me think he has some sinus issues. Thus far, they haven’t caused any problems and I don’t foresee any. We have a cat of our own (Phoenix) who sounds like this from time to time and he’s never had any troubles with chronic infections or anything.

He’s one of three kittens born in my care to a long-time street cat that was brought to me in order to be spayed after her kittens were born. Bo’s birthday is April 26, 2021.

He is neutered and UTD on shots. He always uses the litter box, eats dry food and loves his suppertime wet food. He’s been treated with Revolution and will have a fresh application before he leaves.

Sassy – ADOPTED!

This Tabby lady got her name when she was very young and would saunter up to me, arch her back, and flip her tail like a little diva. While she’s still pretty sassy, she’s also a very friendly and gentle lady.  She enjoys looking out the window, playing hard, and lap time. She will crawl into your lap and snuggle and has let me hold her like a baby. Her coat seems to toggle between brown tabby and silver, depending on the light.

Tulip – ADOPTED!

Tulip is very sweet but very reserved. She’s often the last one to run out of the cattery in the morning and will sit on a shelf and give me one of her little “meep” meows before jumping down and joining the others. She’s marked beautifully, with her tabby stripes running down her back, her two white ears and that gorgeous eyeliner.

She was born to a barn cat (SweetPea), just as their barn home went up for sale. I brought her, her siblings (Leopold and Lily (both adopted)) and mom home to foster when she was just a few days old. Her approximate birthday is April 27, 2021.

She doesn’t care for being held, but enjoys head scritches and pets, and asks for them in her meek way. She LOVES play time and is very intense when it comes to the hunt. She vows she WILL catch that red dot…

She is spayed and UTD on shots. She always uses the litter box, eats dry food and loves her suppertime wet food. She’s been treated with Revolution and will have a fresh application before she leaves.

Pixie – ADOPTED!

Pixie doesn’t mind being held and will even fall asleep on her back in your lap. Her purr is much larger than you would expect a cat of her tiny stature to produce. Think: a Vespa that sounds like a Harley. She went through quite a bit after her internal sutures came loose after her spay and she has a little bit of a gnarly scar under her belly fur. I think all the trips to the vet helped her become this chill, sweet, and tolerant lady. She is very playful and often thrusts herself between you and whatever you’re doing as if to say, “Oops, look at that. I’m in your way. I guess you’ll have to pet me.”

Owen – ADOPTED!

UPDATE: This guy became Number 7 at our house. We foster failed! lol

Owen came from a colony of feral cats that live next to some railroad tracks. He was found in a gravel drive, where many large trucks come and go. He was only two weeks old and all attempts to get the mom to come back for him failed. The colony caretaker brought him to me, and we bottle-fed and co-parented him until he was 8 weeks old. His estimated birthday is August 27, 2021. He’s been wormed, had all his vaccines, tested FIV/FeLV negative, and been neutered. He’s eating dry and wet food and using the litter box like a champ.

He is extremely playful but also loves to be picked up, held, and sleep on your lap. You can easily hear his thunderous purr across the room. He is now fetching toys too!

He needs to go to a home that has another young-ish cat or another kitten, for the sake of his continuing development –and your sanity. He has been raised around my six cats and does well. He’s never been around a dog.

SweetPea – ADOPTED!

This lovely calico was a barn cat at a location that was about to be sold. She had three kittens a few days before I collected her on April 14, 2021. She willingly took on three more kittens a few days later when presented with the orphaned newborns. She was a very good mom and continues to mother my remaining foster kittens. She herself isn’t much more than a kitten at approximately 2 years old. Her birthday is approximately September 13, 2019.

She loves her head and ears scratched, a good scratching post, and to chase ball toys. They’re her favorite and she’s quite the soccer player. She is also intensely playful with wand toys. She doesn’t care to be held (unless you do it JUST so), but also has never scratched me while I tried, only squirmed. The farm she came from had a small dog, but it’s been a long time since she’s been around one.

She is spayed and UTD on shots. She always uses the litter box, eats dry food and looks forward to her canned food at night. She’s been treated with Revolution and will have a fresh application before she leaves.

Spinderella – ADOPTED!

Spinderella and two other females (Salt and Pepa) were removed from a situation involving hoarding, eviction, and no electricity. All three were terrified but Spinderella was willing to be pet and even picked up upon arrival here. All three eventually accepted pets and would cautiously play. Salt and Pepa remained very flighty and went to a rescue with ample fosters to give them more one on one time. Spinderella is very playful, loves pets and wet food time. She’s done well with her new female cat roommates. She’s been fixed, vaccinated, flea and worm treated.

Abraham – ADOPTED!

If you’ve ever wanted an epic lap cat, Abraham is your cat. This guy has wanted nothing but to be held since he showed up here the day after Christmas. Well, he’s pretty partial to wet food too. He has the LOUDEST purr I’ve ever heard and does it often. He may have been dumped or escaped his home because he had on a beat-up red collar and had no idea where to go to get away from the cold. He was hunkered in front of our door for several hours before we brought him in. Up until the last week, he’d been uninterested in playing and only wanted to be pet and held. I feel like he may have been depressed after losing his family, but he’s finally begun playing.

We don’t know how old he is, but I would guess older than 4. We had him neutered and given a rabies and FVRCP vaccine and wormed him.

Sammi – ADOPTED!

Along with a stunning Tortoiseshell coat, Sammi has a sweet disposition. She has no qualms about getting into your lap, is very enthusiastic in her expression of love, and enjoys playtime like a kitten. She was a stray living under someone’s deck and crossing a busy road to get to her food dish. She was being fed by a kind woman whose health had declined to where she was no longer able to care for Sammi. It’s thought that Sammi was one of a large number of cats involved in a cat hoarding situation a couple houses down. Refusing to leave her on her own, or to return to that situation, the woman reached out and we scooped up Sammi. We took her to be fixed, only to find out she had already been spayed. Someone had cared enough to get her fixed at some point in her life, but for some reason, at the time she crossed our paths, she was on the streets begging for food from a stranger. Maybe she got out and was lost, maybe she was willfully let out, or worse, maybe she was dumped.

Sammi has had an application of Revolution Plus, the rabies and FVRCP vaccines, and is very healthy. Her left ear was “tipped” to show that she has been sterilized. She seems willing to warm up to other cats, and thanks to her laid back personality, dogs shouldn’t be a problem either. See the Cat Savvy menu for “How To Introduce Cats.”

Pretty Girl – ADOPTED!

Pretty Girl has been with us since May 24, 2020. She was a pretty sick girl when she came here, with 3 kittens (around 5 weeks old) in tow. Initially thought to be a feral cat, she turned out to be a stray and warmed up to human interaction quickly. She was most likely dumped or escaped her former home and had no idea how to survive on her own. She did her best to give her babies what they needed and was skin, bones and a belly full of worms. She was just a scared, starving momma trying to keep her babies alive and they were doing well, especially compared to her. Often, she sprawled out on the floor of her kennel, listless and still, and there were several times that I watched for her belly to rise and fall to know she was still breathing. She’d stopped bathing herself but had never stopped feeding the kittens.

She eventually got her vaccinations, ditched the worms, her kids and her kitten machine and got to start acting like a cat! Those are the moments we strive for!

Despite a human letting her down somewhere along the line, she gained back her trust of people little by little. She’s still timid though and whomever adopts her will have to give her time and patience. She’s very sweet and would be a nice house/lap cat. She deserves a good, loving place of her own. She loves to be pet and her uniquely huge paws never seem to stop kneading. She’s playful too, being somewhere between 1 and 2 years old. She CAN get a little nibbley if you pet her for a long time, but she’s just over-stimulated and needs to be redirected to her toys. She can be around other cats, and quiet dogs may be okay, though we’ve never exposed her to one. Kids aren’t a deal breaker, but extra patience and time would be required to acclimate them to each other. We can help with proper introductions to give the best possible chance at a seamless family addition.
Her adoption fee is $30
