Along with a stunning Tortoiseshell coat, Sammi has a sweet disposition. She has no qualms about getting into your lap, is very enthusiastic in her expression of love, and enjoys playtime like a kitten. She was a stray living under someone’s deck and crossing a busy road to get to her food dish. She was being fed by a kind woman whose health had declined to where she was no longer able to care for Sammi. It’s thought that Sammi was one of a large number of cats involved in a cat hoarding situation a couple houses down. Refusing to leave her on her own, or to return to that situation, the woman reached out and we scooped up Sammi. We took her to be fixed, only to find out she had already been spayed. Someone had cared enough to get her fixed at some point in her life, but for some reason, at the time she crossed our paths, she was on the streets begging for food from a stranger. Maybe she got out and was lost, maybe she was willfully let out, or worse, maybe she was dumped.
Sammi has had an application of Revolution Plus, the rabies and FVRCP vaccines, and is very healthy. Her left ear was “tipped” to show that she has been sterilized. She seems willing to warm up to other cats, and thanks to her laid back personality, dogs shouldn’t be a problem either. See the Cat Savvy menu for “How To Introduce Cats.” Her adoption fee is $25
